Cape May County Zoo – The Cape May County Park & Zoo in Cape May Court House, provides free year-round admission to a collection of more than 550 animals representing 250 species in 85 acres. The zoo is open every day except for Christmas, weather permitting. The hours of operation are from 10:00 am until 3:45pm in the winter and 10:00am until 4:45pm in the summer. Time changes occur with Daylight Savings. The zoo also has a train ride and carousel. The train is trackless and can take visitors all around the zoo. The carousel has zoo animals for riding seats unlike the traditional horses on most carousels.

Cape May Whale Watch – Come join the experienced captains and naturalists of the Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center’s vessel American Star as we scour the seas and skies for spouts, fins, birds, and other incredible marine life! This 3-hour adventure will venture out on the “search” for Humpback Whales, other species of baleen whales including Fin, Minke, or Right Whales. This cruise will also search for pods of Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins along the coast as well as spectacular offshore super pods or herds. Other possible sightings include Sea Turtles, Stingrays, Oceanic Sunfish, Sharks, pelagic bird species, and much more. Your on-board naturalist will guide all aspects of the tour, identifying and educating you on marine mammal and bird species, any other wildlife sited along the way, as well as historical structures and landmarks.

Harbor Square Theatre – South Jersey’s premier movie going experience is an independent movie theatre, designed to reflect the original late period, Art Deco architecture of its origin in 1949. Each of the four theaters are equipped with Dolby 7.1 sound. The “big house” theatre screen is 50’ wide, making it the largest screen in southern New Jersey. We offer stadium seating with a curve, and the seats are high-back rockers and can be described as “extra comfortable.” Enjoy our extensive concession menu, including wine and beer and, of course, popcorn! Island Studio Paint Your Own Pottery – The studio is in the quaint shopping district of Stone Harbor. They offer a huge selection of ceramics and mosaics. In the summer months, guests are invited to walk in anytime during studio hours to begin painted pottery or make a mosaic. You can make a reservation for glass fusion too. Island studio offers classes like paint nights for children and adults on select evenings by reservation. Jersey Shore Alpacas – Here at Jersey Shore Alpacas, we offer a variety of fun opportunities to meet and mingle with the critters and learn about their fiber as well. On “visitors are welcome to meet and feed the alpacas at the fence line (we provide carrots). There is no charge, but we do have a donation box on the fence (we really appreciate donations, which help support the alpacas). If you are unable to visit on an “Open Farm” day or would like an even more personal experience, we also offer a $25/$30 (depending on time of year) group private appointment (up to 4 people in a group, with additional people $5 each) where you are able to feed the alpacas and also go into the paddock with the girls for some “up close and personal” mingling, with a personal tour guide!

Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum – NASW is a non-profit museum located at the Cape May Airport inside historic Hanger #1. Commissioned in April 1943, NASW served as an active dive-bomber squadron training facility during World War II. Today, Hanger #1 has been restored and transformed into an Aviation Museum that houses several aircraft, engines, special exhibits, and educational interactive displays. The museum invites visitors to explore aviation and military history through “hands-on”, fun and educational activities for the entire family! Bring the kids and travel back in time to this 92,000 square foot sampling of the 1940’s. Friendly leashed pets are welcome.

Ocean City Boardwalk – Each year hundreds of thousands of visitors travel near and far just to visit Ocean City’s Boardwalk. For many visiting this entertaining boardwalk is a family tradition filled with anticipation. The 2.5 mile boardwalk is family friendly and dotted with amusement rides, arcades, miniature golf, pizza parlors, seaside stores and Johnson’s Popcorn (make sure you ask for an open bag because they don’t put the lid on the tub, instead they overfill the tub which sends the overflow into the bag – more for your money!).

Pontoon Boat Rentals –Spend a day n the water crabbing, fishing, cruising or anything your seafaring heart desires aboard one of the pontoon boats in our fleet. For family fun, we have various sized pontoon boat rentals available. 9, 10 or 12 passengers can go out for a half day or a full day. We supply the boat, fuel, and all the safety equipment needed. Seaport Aquarium – A great stop on the Wildwood boardwalk for families with kids; though it’s enjoyable for all ages. Step out of the crowds for a while and enjoy the slow pace of the fish! Feed the turtles and fish; pet a shark and a stingray on your visit! It’s very clean and the animals are well cared for. They have a knowledgeable and friendly staff to show you around and inform you about the fish you are seeing and touching.

Wetlands Institute – Fun is a major part of every visit to The Wetlands Institute, as everything here combines both education and entertainment!Every visit begins with Marion’s Gardens, award-winning gardens which surround the parking lot and line the walkway to the main building. You will pass hundreds of native plants, each chosen to attract pollinators. Most of the plants are labeled for your information.
In the Spring and Summer, we offer naturalist-led programs including back bay boat rides, paddleboarding, kayaking, live animal interactions, family entertainment and guided beach & dune walks.
